What is a Transaction?
Laparoscopic surgery is a minimally invasive surgical method that is performed through small incisions in the abdomen. This technique increases the precision of the operation without making large incisions and speeds up the healing process.
How is it done?
During laparoscopic surgery, small incisions are made in the abdomen through which a thin camera (laparoscope) and surgical instruments are inserted. The camera allows the surgeon to see the internal organs clearly and increases the precision of the surgical procedure. Laparoscopic procedures performed in our center in Çiğli, Izmir are as follows:
- Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy: Removal of the uterus.
- Cystectomy Removal of ovarian cysts.
- Sacrohysteropexy/Sacrocolpopexy: Treatment of uterine or vaginal prolapse.
- Lateral Suspension Supporting the pelvic organs and correcting their position.
- Myomectomy Removal of fibroids.
- Endometrioma Surgery: Removal of foci of endometriosis.
- BTL (Bilateral Tubal Ligation): A procedure in which the tubes are tied for contraception.
What are the Symptoms?
Symptoms requiring laparoscopic surgery may include
- Abdominal and pelvic pain
- Abnormal vaginal bleeding
- Infertility (infertility) problems
- Abdominal mass or feeling of fullness
What are the Treatment Methods?
- Laparoscopic Surgery: As a minimally invasive method, it offers aesthetic advantages and shortens the recovery time.
- Robotic Surgery: It is applied in a similar way to the laparoscopic method, but the aim is to further increase surgical precision.
- Open Surgery: It is applied when laparoscopic or robotic methods are not sufficient and requires larger incisions.
