What is a Transaction?
Hysteroscopy is a procedure to visualize the inside of the uterus in detail and treat it when necessary. With a thin optical device called a hysteroscope, the uterus is directly examined and various disorders are treated.
How is it done?
Hysteroscopy is performed vaginally by inserting a thin device called a hysteroscope into the uterus. The device allows a detailed examination of the inside of the uterus and necessary interventions are performed in this way. In our center in Çiğli, Izmir, hysteroscopy is performed with advanced diagnostic systems supported by artificial intelligence. The procedures applied are as follows:
- Uterine Polyp Excision: Removal of polyps inside the uterus.
- Uterine Septum Resection: Treatment of the intrauterine curtain (septum).
- Myomectomy Removal of fibroids inside the uterus.
- Isthmusel Repair: Correction of scar defect after cesarean section.
What are the Symptoms?
Symptoms requiring hysteroscopy may include
- Abnormal uterine bleeding
- Infertility
- Recurrent miscarriages
- Menstrual irregularities and heavy bleeding
What are the Treatment Methods?
- Diagnostic Hysteroscopy: This is done to evaluate the inside of the uterus and detect possible problems.
- Operative Hysteroscopy: It is performed to surgically correct detected problems and to correct intrauterine abnormalities.
