What is a Transaction?

Fractures and dislocations are orthopaedic conditions that occur when bones crack, break or dislocate joints. They are often caused by trauma such as falls, bumps or accidents and can cause intense pain.

How is it done?

In our clinic in Çiğli, Izmir, fractures and dislocations are diagnosed by detailed physical examination and imaging methods (X-ray, MRI). Depending on the type and location of the fracture or dislocation, the treatment process is planned. In mild fractures, the bone is fixed with plaster or splint application. In dislocations, the joint is put back into place by manual reduction method. Serious fractures may require surgical intervention and the bone is stabilized using metal plates, screws or nails.

What are the Symptoms?

  • Sudden and severe pain
  • Swelling and bruising
  • Movement limitation
  • Abnormal appearance of the joint or fracture site
  • Tenderness and pain on touch at the fracture site

What are the Treatment Methods?

  • Plaster Application: Fixing the bone or joint with a plaster cast or splint for proper healing.
  • Manual Reduction: Manual placement of the dislocation in place.
  • Surgical Interventions: Surgical stabilization with plates, screws or nails for complex fractures.
  • Physical Therapy Physical therapy programs to regain mobility and muscle strength after fracture or dislocation.

These treatment methods allow patients to recover faster and return to normal life activities.
